Selma, Alabama
Selma is a town of legend, of change, in my mind. The building stock reflects its significance as a commercial center in past centuries. This century in Selma hints at comeback attempts, with funny haystack and scarecrow decorations along the main street sidewalks and one ardent business owner blasting smooth jazz from the open doors of his shop. It all makes my heart ache, imagining the bustle of former times...shoppers, citizens, marchers, soldiers, buskers. The architecture is amazing: See for yourself -
