I am thinking of the cool temperatures of last weekend in New York as the sweat rolls down my back, Saturday outside of the Owens-Thomas House watching the McIntosh County Shouters call and sing and shuffle at high noon in long dresses and overalls, reclaiming the heritage of slave ballads. There is a "Heat Advisory" in effect. After monhs of seeking the outdoors, wanting to draw when it was raining, now I want to escape inside... to my drawing desk. After one million other chores and tasks, I finally did.
