On the south side of the bridge: the old mill which was converted to the Confederate carbine plant & armory toward the end of the Civil War.On the north side of the bridge: a large hydroelectric dam harnesses the power of the Tallapoosa River.Tallassee is also the first place I spied this Southern specialty - Hardees' fried bologna egg and cheese biscuit.
From the College of Architecture at Virginia Tech to Savannah GA to Washington DC to the School of Architecture at the University of Virginia, I have lived where I could draw - and traveled to particularly interesting places to draw.
I make architectural and map-drawings which combine plans, elevations and perspectives to illustrate the dynamic relationships within the streets and spaces of historic cities. This is an archive of my progress.
